The humanitarian aid provided by Israel to the citizens of Gaza since the Israeli disengagement from Gaza in 2005 has included the transfer of vital products such as food, water, and medical equipment. Israel has also provided medical assistance and admitted Gazan citizens for treatment in Israeli hospitals, and regularly granted work permits to Gazans offering them an opportunity to work in Israel and receive higher salaries than those in Gaza.[1][2][3][4]

Israel assisted in transferring monetary donations to organizations in Gaza, including Hamas. As part of thes donations, UN agencies have contributed about 4.5 billion dollars to Gaza, the USA contributed at least 5.5 million dollars to Gaza in 2021 for cash assistance and health services, and Qatar has contributed 1.3 billion dollars in aid to Gaza since 2012. According to OECD data, the total donations transferred to Gaza by its member states (including Israel, the US, the European Union, and others) amounted to approximately 26.7 billion dollars between 2011 and 2021, with an average annual contribution of about 2.6 billion dollars.[5][2][3][6][4]

Between January 2009 and May 2010, Gaza received over a million tons of humanitarian supplies from Israel, amounting to almost a ton of aid for each resident, including adults and children. Shipments of food and supplies from Israel to Gaza were carried out six days a week during that time period. This was facilitated either through aid organizations or Gaza's private sector. The Israeli humanitarian apparatus consistently channeled millions of dollars worth of international aid, guaranteeing a continuous flow and preventing any food shortages in Gaza.[8][9]

In addition, Gas for domestic use was supplied according to Palestinian demand. After the fuel depot at Nahal Oz was repeatedly attacked by Palestinian terrorists from the Gaza Strip, it was forced to limit its operations.  The Kerem Shalom crossing has since been adapted to the transfer of fuel and a new gas line with double the capacity to transfer gas. As of August 2011, a total of 176 internationally funded projects, focused on education, water, sewage, housing, and health were approved. According the to the OCHA 2012 report, Economic growth in Gaza reached 31% in the second quarter of 2011, primarily driven by the construction industry goods.[10]
