Ivi Dervishi (April 7, 1992) is famous Albanian painter.[1]

Biography[edit]

Ivi Dervishi was born in Librazhd, Albania.[1] She comes from a big family, her parents have 3 daughters and 1 son. Passion for art was first taken further with Art courses during her year 8 in High School.

She graduated the University of Arts, Albania, with a degree of BA in Graphic art and design on July 2013.[2] The first topics of Ivi's artworks during her Bachelor studies captured the nature of homeless people.[3] On July 2015 she received Master degree in Printmaking after presenting the final Master's diploma project "The Secret Chamber-Pompeii". It consists of seven artworks, each sized 170x110, depicting figuration inspired by Ivi's visit to Pompeii, Italy. Artist has used mixed media technique, including painting, dropping&leaking and silkscreen printing to illustrate the Pompeii's sinful pleasures.

After finishing the Master studies, she moved to Oslo, Norway and lived there for a year accompanying her husband. They got married on August 7, 2015 in Cēsis, Latvia.

Artist has been exploring different themes, however the latest pieces by Ivi Dervishi have Greek mythology God theme and an exhibition will be presented shortly.
