Matthew Isaiah Carson[1] ( Born November 14, 2001 ) is an american rapper and singer. He is an influential figure in Underground hip hop. He was once apart of the infamous underground rap collective Slay World Souljas.

Early Life[edit]

Matthew Isaiah Carson (Izaya Tiji) born in Dayton, Ohio, in 2001. Izaya Tiji was raised by a Christian mother and his father is from the Republic of the Congo. Growing up Tiji would listen to Pop music and Hip hop music that would be featured on the radio, acts like Chief Keef, Owl City, and Young Thug.[2] Izaya would then discover SoundCloud and become inspired by acts like XXXTentacion, Lucki and Famous Dex.[3]


Izaya Tiji's first song posted on the website SoundCloud would be a song named #slayy #jimsoja posted on September 27th 2018.[4] He would take part in forming and being an original member of the infamous rap collective Slay World (Slay World Souljas). He would leave the group and abandon connections with Summrs, Kankan (rapper) and others. He would remain in touch with rapper Goonie (Co-Founder of Slay World). Izaya Tiji is an independent artist, it is believed that he is not signed to any major labels.

Legacy & Impact[edit]

Izaya Tiji has impacted a wide variety of artists in the underground scene. In Im Saucy Huh's YouTube video he goes through many of the up and coming underground rap artists Izaya Tiji has possibly influened.[7] Some of those artists are Tana (rapper), Slump6s, Rich Amiri and many more.
