Jörg Neunhäuserer (born April 26, 1969 in Wuppertal) is a German mathematician and author of textbooks. He is interested in measure theory, ergodic theory and metric number theory.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

After his high school graduation at Märkisches Gymnasium Schwelm, Jörg Neunhäuserer studied mathematics and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. His teachers at Free University of Berlin include Martin Aigner, Bernold Fiedler and Peter Bieri. In 1999 he received his PhD under the supervision of Jörg Schmeling and Karoly Simon in the dimension theory of dynamical systems.[3]

Career[edit]

He is the author of numerous research articles and five textbooks published with Springer Spektrum.[4][5] He worked on self-similar measures,[definition needed] fractal attractors[definition needed] and representations of real numbers like continued logarithms.[definition needed] Neunhäuserer has been teaching mathematics and philosophy of mathematics at universities in Berlin, Braunschweig, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Dresden, Hannover, Göttingen und Lüneburg.[citation needed]

Neunhäuserer is married and lives in Goslar at the Harz.
