He is Well known in many circles in the Itsekiri Community and within many circles in Delta and Edo State (the Defunct Bendel State), J.0.S. Ayomike took an Honours Degree in Business Administration in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and worked as a management staff in NTC Ltd. for many years during which time he attended several courses in Nigeria and Overseas. From the company he got appointed as a Civil Commissioner in the Midwest State (later Bendel) and served from 1975 R 1979 in several Ministries including Health Agriculture & Natural Resources and Information, Culture & Sports

Earlier in 1973 he had served as a member of the State's Schools Compensation Committee and attended the Man War Bay Leadership Course in 1954 when, among a few others, he climbed the Cameroon mountain. He is a member of the Warri National Council, an Advisory Body to the Olu of Warri. He is also Patron of many social clubs, including Warri Cultural Society, Benin Branch, whose life Patron he is

His hobbies include a study of the New Testament history and Church history in general: others and swimming, walking and lawn tennis,

He is married with children. Until his death he was the founding member and chairman, Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILoT, Warri, Delta State
