Jaiquis Tyheem Stokes is an American professional indoor football wide receiver for the Fishers Freight of the Indoor Football League (IFL).

College career

Stokes took over as the starting wide receiver and was elected team captain before the 2018 season.[1] On September 22, 2018, Stokes had 186 yards on seven receptions and two touchdowns in the 24–31 loss to Lenoir–Rhyne.[2] The following week, he caught seven passes for 185 yards and a touchdown in the 23–26 loss to Florida Tech.[3] On November 3, against Limestone, Stokes suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his left knee, prematurely ending his season.[4] Stokes finished the season with 39 receptions for 811 yards and nine touchdowns. On November 14, he was named All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) First Team.[5]

Professional career

Bismarck Bucks

Stokes began his professional career with the Bismarck Bucks of the Indoor Football League (IFL) during the 2021 season. He finished the year with 526 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging a league-best 16.2 yards per catch. On September 7, 2021, Stokes was named to the IFL All-Rookie Team.[6]

Arizona Rattlers

On November 19, 2021, Stokes signed with the Arizona Rattlers for the 2022 season.[7] Stokes played in two games, catching six passes for 86 yards while having four rushing attempts for 70 yards.

Bay Area Panthers

On October 12, 2022, Stokes signed with the Bay Area Panthers for the 2023 season.[8] In his Panthers debut against the Arizona Rattlers, Stokes caught seven passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the 47–46 win. Against the San Diego Strike Force, Stokes totaled 86 yards and five touchdowns in the 75–40 win.

Coaching career

During the 2019 season, Stokes joined Wingate as a graduate assistant wide receivers coach.[9]
