JDT Racing Team was the racing team of Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C., a football team that competes in the Malaysia Super League, the top tier of Malaysian football. The JDT Racing Team competed in the Asia Road Racing Championship and Superbike World Championship.

History

JDT Racing Team announced on March 1, 2024, entry spot in the Asia Road Racing Championship and World Superbike.[1] The JDT Racing Team was formed in 2024 and has been competing in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) since that same year. So, 2025 will be their second year in existence, with Hafizh Syahrin as their sole rider. JDT Racing Team Manager, Razmin Masli bin Abdul Razak, explained the reason for forming the racing team. Essentially, they seized the opportunity because the Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris, wanted to develop the youth in his region through sports.[2]

The JDT Racing Team team created new history in the country's motorcycling world when they were given a 'wild card' ticket to participate in the 2025 Superbike World Championship (WSBK) at the Algarve Circuit, Portugal from 9 to 11 August 2024. JDT Racing Team racer, Hafizh Syahrin will race using the Ducati Panigale V4R machine which has the same specifications as the machine owned by world champion, Álvaro Bautista. The JDT Racing Team will also receive technical assistance from the Ducati Factory and will use JDT liveries in the race.[3]
