Jovit Moya

Jovit Moya is an actor in the Philippines who later became a Police Commissioned Officer in the Philippine National Police. Moya has occupied several command positions in the Police Force, his last two assignments were Chief of Intelligence of the Presidential Protection Unit under the Presidential Security Group of then President Gloria Arroyo and later Chief of the Trackers Division of the Manila Police District. When asked to compare the two professions, Jovit once stated in an interview with The Philippine Star that intrigues in the Police were worse than the intrigues in show business (1). IN 2005 Jovit left the Police force and lived in Spain, the US, and New Zealand until his return to the Philippines in 2018.

For several years Jovit was a Deist and anti religion advocate until his cardiac episode in which he stated he came face to face with God and had a conversation with the Creator. Jovit became a Christian minister in 2018, and leads the Apostles of Christ Family Mission which serves God through service to the homeless elderly and the homeless disabled children.

Personal Life:

Jovit Moya, Born 19th of July, 1966 is the father of young actor Rob Moya who appears in several shows in GMA Network channel 7. Jovit is admittedly gay and according to his son Rob, in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, he has no issues with his dad (2). Jovit has several other kids from other women living in other countries and have stayed away from the public eye.

Acting career.

Jovit started his career in 1984 upon meeting Inday Badiday a well known Philippine TV host. Soon after Jovit was doing episodes of the long running tv drama Lovingly Yours Helen which was hosted by Helen Vela. In March 1986 he was invited by the legendary TV Host German Moreno to be part of the daily TV variety show That's Entertainment (TV Series)as a host on Wednesdays and Saturdays (3). In late 1986 Jovit was contracted as an exclusive movie star by Seiko Films until 1996 after which Jovit became a freelance movie actor. In 2001 Jovit did his last movie and retired from the movie industry until he made a comeback in 2018 starting with projects as a Voice Talent.
