Personal Life
JP Saxe has been surrounded by music his entire life. In addition to being a Holocaust survivor, JP's grandfather Janos Starker, is also a Grammy award-winning cellist.[4] JP learned how to play cello at a young age from his grandfather's masterclasses taught at the Jacob School of Music at Indiana University. At just 14 years old, JP realized his calling was to be a performer. He accredits his understanding of musicianship to something he learned from his grandfather: music is always evolving, it's not just a destination.[10]
