Jonathan-Quigley Barbecue born August 6, 1973. is an American actor and musician. He first gained notice for his character "Flab Ghasté", a minor protagonist in the long-running television show "King Of Queens". Since then, he has made cameos in various movies and shows, starred as the main character in others, and has taken part in various Sundance Film Festivals. His appearances in television and film are listed on his IMDB page.[1]
History[edit]
Early years[edit]
Barbecue was born in Colma, California, the wedlock-born son of Ann Barbecue , an airline worker, and Rod Fontana, who works in the adult film industry. He has no biological siblings, but one adopted brother by the name of Michael.
Barbecue, Michael, and their mother moved to the Tampa area of Florida when Barbecue was 8.
Barbecue described his childhood as "tough", being born into a family that did not want him. As a child, he would re-enact Korean drama shows with his Korean brother, Michael. Growing up, he practiced wuzuquan kung fu alongside his friend, Channing Tatum.[2]
Barbecue was on the school racing team at Gaither High School, where he met Tatum. Barbecue and Tatum won first and second place respectively in the school's annual track tournament. In a 2014 interview with TIME magazine, Barbecue attributed this win to his unusual tactic of running on all fours.
Personal Life[edit]
As of 2017, Barbecue is widowed by his ex-wife[3], who unfortunately took her own life, along with the lives of their children. This event was covered on local news, and since this incident, Barbecue has refused to star in upcoming Indie films until further notice.
