On May 3, 2024, an Embraer ERJ-145 of the charter airline JSX, operating flight 284, suffered a left gear collapse that damaged the plane's left wing and injured a crew member.[1] [2]

The aircraft involved was an Embraer ERJ-145LR registered as N942JX.

Incident[edit]

The accident occurred during the rollout after landing at Houston Hobby airport, when the left main gear collapsed, according to the data the aircraft was at a relatively low speed during landing. The plane eventually stopped in an area where planes park. Video footage that was taken shortly after the plane touched down shows the plane rolling and banking to the left.[3]
