Jacaranda
Jacaranda.[1] is an education publishing company that specialises in secondary education textbooks and learning resources. It was founded in Queensland, Australia, in 1954, and is owned by the global publishing company Wiley (publisher).
Jacaranda publishes a diverse range of 7-12 learning and assessment solutions for different state curricula in Australia. It has offices in Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia.

Brian Clouston founded “The Jacaranda Press[2]” in 1954 as a boutique publisher of locally-written textbooks for Queensland secondary schools, to compete with the mainly British imports [3] then widely in use. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the company expanded its product offering and introduced reference materials, including The Jacaranda Atlas, the first Australian-produced secondary school atlas. Though it did print fiction in its early days, Jacaranda remains best known for its educational titles and atlases.
In 1976, the company was acquired by American based company Wiley, a global publishing company, specialising in academic publishing. The company’s portfolio has expanded to include digital learning platforms[4], online assessment, educational games, and interactive digital textbooks. In 2019, Jacaranda is in use at over 1,800 secondary schools around Australia.

Jacaranda has won the award Publisher of the Year, given by the Australian Publishers Association, in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013, 2014 , 2015[5][6], and 2016[7]
