Jack Downer ' also known professionally as "Street Panna"..[1] is a British athlete, known for his accomplishments as a Street Soccer Player and a YouTube 'influencer'. Jack is a pioneer for evolving the sport of Panna in the UK[2], producing content on his numerous social channels to an audience of over 1.2 million.

Early Life[edit]

Jack grew up in ((Thanet)) where he attended Upton Junior School in his early years. Following on from this Jack then attended ((Dane Court Grammar School)) for 7 years. Whilst at this school Jack managed to successfully take his GCSE's and his A-levels. Jack now studies Philosophy at Kings College London for a BA.

Journey in to Panna[edit]

Jack grew up playing football for local teams, Hugin Vikings and Trinity. At the age of 14, Jack sustained a severe injury which prevented him playing football for a sufficient amount of time. Following a long spell out Jack got back in to football by attending a local football club at his local youth centre. This football club was in fact a Panna club, which instantly got Jack addicted as he grew a connection with this sport like no other[3]. He began to practice everyday before and after School for years in order to become the best. Jack had a natural ability at the sport, he then began to encourage others and his friends in to the sport to help spread the word.[4]

Competing[edit]

Jack's first tournament was in the summer of 2014, competing in the European Street Cup in ((Brussels)) where he finished within the top 32. Following on from this in the Winter of 2014 Jack competed in his first Panna World Championships where he also managed a top 32 finish. Since then, Jack has achieved a top 8 finish at the pannahouse invitationals in 2019 and the Panna World Championships in 2019. One of Jack's biggest achievements came in 2018 when he won the Tango league Most Valuable Player award[5]

Youtube channel[edit]

Jack's YouTube journey started in the summer of 2019, where he decided to launch his channel in order to showcase his skills to educate a wider audience. Within 5 months the channel had reached over 100,000 subscribers, upon which it continues to grow. Jack produces a range of content on his YouTube channel, with his videos offering a balance between education and entertainment. Jack's content contains a massive range of options, for example in December 2019 Jack produced a video where he performed tricks over a Supercar. Furthermore, Jack has produced several exciting collaborations with different professional footballers, such as ((Felipe Anderson)), ((Riyad Mahrez)) and ((Callum Wilson)) just to name a few[6]. Jack also provides different forms of collaborations on his channel with athletes from different branches of football, such as elite futsal players and elite freestyles. Furthermore, one of the key aspects of Jack's channel is to educate his followers, not only about the sport of Panna but about how to perform elements of the game itself. A lot of Jack's content consists of showing his viewers step by step ways upon which they can perform the tricks and the skills of the game themselves[7]. Jack created a video collaborating with the ((F2 Freestyle's)) which hit 1,000,000 views, his biggest audience on a YouTube post to date. Jack also branches out to other platforms in order to increase his wider reach. He is well known for presenting on the ((Premier League)) channel with a show called 'Uncut'. Alongside the subscribers Jack has on his YouTube channel, he also has substantial followings on other social media platforms.
