Jack Kittel
Jack Kittel (c. 1953 – Sept. 28, 1996) was an American singer, best known for his 1973 cover of Leon Payne's "Psycho", for which he was only widely recognized posthumously.
Biography
Kittel, a resident of Muskegon, Michigan, independently recorded a cover of "Psycho", a song written by Leon Payne in the 1950s, along with another song, "A Place for Girls Like You". Neither song reached any sort of mainstream recognition due to radio stations refusing to play them for their dark lyrics, but did receive airtime on an underground Grand Rapids show. The song went widely undiscovered until 1996 when it was featured on the film soundtrack of the film Larger Than Life.
