Jaclyn Baumgarten
Jaclyn Micole Baumgarten (born August 4th, 1978) is an American technology entrepreneur and executive.[1] noted for being a woman in the tech startup C-suite[2]. She is co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Boatsetter[3], based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida[4]. In 2018, she was both elected to the board of directors of MasterCraft[5] and won an entrepreneur of the year technology award from Endeavor Miami[6]. Before becoming CEO of Boatsetter, Baumgarten was co-founder and CEO of Cruzin[7], the precursor to Boatsetter, founded in late 2012. Baumgarten is acknowledged as developing the first of its kind marine insurance policy model that enabled the peer-to-peer boat rental industry[4]. Before Cruzin, Baumgarten was a partner and COO of AH Global[8]. Before she began her entrepreneurial career, Baumgarten worked for over a decade in corporate America in Healthcare as a Director at DaVita[9], as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers/IBM[10], and as a commercial real estate developer of the Westfield Group[11]
