Jacob Thomas Lever (born 12 February 1993), is an English footballer who currently plays for Goulburn Valley Suns FC.

Early and personal life[edit]

Lever was born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, but attended Penistone Grammar School in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Lever grew up in Barnsley, with his mum, dad, and younger brother.


Lever attended Loughborough University between the ages of 18–21, representing their football team.[1]. After this, Lever played non-league football for Stocksbridge Park Steels[2] and Quorn F.C.[3]. He then accepted a full scholarship offer from Regis University[4] to play college soccer in the U.S. In his first year with Regis, Lever was voted NCAA First Team All-RMAC.[5] Whilst in America, Lever also represented professional team Chattanooga FC in their 2017 National Premier Soccer League campaign,[6] featuring in 10 of their 14 league fixtures that season.[7] After graduating college, Lever signed full-time for Swedish club Gallivare Malmbergets FF[8]. After one year in Sweden, Lever then signed for Goulburn Valley Suns FC[9] competing in the Australian National Premier Leagues.
