Jacques Charlot

Jacques Charlot was a nephew of Claude Debussy's music publisher Jacques Durand, and was a friend of Maurice Ravel. Charlot transcribed for piano several works by Ravel.

During the First World War he became a lieutenant in the French army, and was killed on 3 March 1915.

Ravel dedicated the Prelude of Le Tombeau de Couperin to him.
