Jade van Weel
Jade van Weel (Amsterdam, July 1, 2004) is a Dutch YouTuber who vlogs about lifestyle, fashion and travel.
Biography[edit]
Van Weel and her partner and best friend Gina Singels became known on the video platform YouTube under the name Girlys Blog [1]. It all started in 2015 when Van Weel and Singels started the Instagram account Girlys Blog. After reaching 5,000 followers on Instagram, they started their YouTube channel. The duo shared their very first holiday vlog in March 2016. In 2021 Van Weel has approximately 179,000 followers on Instagram where she is popular for sharing her style [2][3] and on the Girlys Blog YouTube channel she has 430,000 subscribers.
Due to her fame on social media, she has collaborations with leading brands. Van Weel appeared together with her partner Gina Singels on the covers of several magazines, including the popular Dutch magazines Meiden Magazine and Girlz![4][5] - the duo also has a single named 'Landen Op Ibiza' with almost 7.5 million streams [6][7] and Van Weel also makes an appearance in the film First Kiss, which premiered in 2018. Van Weel won several award nominations: "Best Newcomer" 2017, "Best Channel" 2018 and "Best Instagrammer" 2019 for the VEED Awards[11] and "Best YouTuber" 2019 for the ZAPP Awards. In March 2018, Van Weel received the Kid's Choice Award for "Favorite Internet Star - The Netherlands & Belgium" 2018 with Girlys Blog.[12][13]
