Jaeyeol Han (Hangul한재열)is a contemporary painter and artist based in South Korea. He was born on June 10, 1983[2] and began his artistic career with the series "Passersby"[3] and "Bystanders", which explore themes of disaster, collapse, and the human condition. Han's art practice is deeply influenced by his experience in Haiti as a part of the military response following the 2010 earthquake.[4] He uses Goethe's Theory of Colours to explore the relationship between light, darkness, and color in his work. Han's use of vibrant colors and textures creates powerful and striking imagery. He recently had a 5th solo exhibition at Gallery BK[5], Seoul in 2021.[6][7]
