Jagatipala is the king of Ceylon (1047-1051 A.D.)[1]. He came from Ayojjha, and claimed descent from the race of Rama. Having slain Vikkamapandu, he ruled in Rohana[2] till he himself was slain by the Cholas. He had a daughter named Lilavati, who later became the consort of Vijayabahu I.
