Jaimee Floyd Angele

Jaimée Floyd Angele (born March 22, 2000[1] is a French professional tennis player.

He was awarded a wildcard to the 2018 French Open – Men's Singles Qualifying.[2] He won the first set against Thanasi Kokkinakis before eventually losing in the first round.[3]

He is coached by Cyril Brechbühl who is the former coach of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He was the Junior Champion of France in 2016.[4] In March 2017 he won his debut game on the ATP circuit winning in 3 sets against Mateusz Terczynski in the first round of the Futures tournament in Villers-Les-Nancy. [5] In February 2018, although still a junior, he reached the semi final of the Sharm El Sheikh event on the Futures Tour.[6]

He recieves funding as part of Generation 2024 a government funded programme to help potential medalists for the 2024 Olympic Games which is to be held in Paris.[7]

Personal life[edit]

He has a Venezuelan father and a Flemish Belgian mother. Still only 18 but over 2 metres tall (2.07m) only Ivo Karlovic is taller on the tennis circuit. He has a European shoe size of 49.5.[8] A keen football fan he is a supporter of Paris Saint Germain.[9]
