Jakarta Praise Community Church

Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) is a church in Indonesia that is pastored by Jeffrey Rachmat since it was founded in 1999. Its services are being held at the Upperroom, Wisma Nusantara and The Kasablanka, Mall Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. The church is under the synod of Jemaat Kristen Indonesia (JKI).

History[edit]

  • 1996 - JPCC started as a prayer meeting consisted of 10 people.
  • 1999 - Jeffrey and Angela Rachmat along with Jose and Hanna Carol established the church's official opening on July 4th, 1999. The first service was held in Menara Gracia at Kuningan, Jakarta.
  • 2004 - A bomb exploded at the Australian Embassy, next to Menara Gracia. JPCC Weekly services were relocated to Senayan Trade Centre for a year.
  • 2005 - The services started to be held at Upperrom Jakarta on October.
  • 2013 - The services started to be held at The Kasablanka on May.[1]

JPCC Worship[edit]

JPCC Worship is the music team of JPCC that was formerly known as "True Worshipper". JPCC Worship has released over 30 albums since 1997.[2] In 2018, the song "Sampai Akhir Hidupku" by JPCC Worship was nominated and won the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards for the best Christian spiritual lyric category.[3]
