The Jakarta ePrix is a planned annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is expected to be the first FIA-sanctioned race in the country since the A1 GP in 2006 and the first-ever to be administered directly by the body.

Jakarta will host the event for next five consecutive years starting from 2020.[2]It was supposed to have been first held in the 2019–20 season,[3][4] on 6 June 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ePrix was cancelled.
On 15 October 2021, it was announced that Jakarta ePrix it will be held as the ninth round of 2021–22 Formula E season, becoming the first ePrix in Indonesia and the fourth Asian country to host an ePrix, following China (including Hong Kong), Malaysia, Saudi Arabia.[5]
Circuit[edit]
The original circuit layout was intended to be situated around the National Monument and the Merdeka Square, both in Central Jakarta, but due to permit and logistics issues, alternative layouts are currently being proposed.[citation needed]
