Jacob Ronald Mecham (born 2000) is an American professional soccer player who is currently a free agent.
Career
Youth and college
Mecham played youth soccer for Las Vegas Heat FC until 2016, before playing with the Portland Timbers academy in 2017.[1] Ahead of the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season, he committed to play college soccer for the UNLV Rebels.[1] Mecham played two seasons with UNLV, making 38 total appearances and scoring once. During the 2019–20 offseason, Mecham transferred to the University of Denver, where he made 48 appearances and scoring once.[1]
Senior
Ahead of the 2019 USL League Two season, Mecham played with Capital Timbers, making five appearances for the club.[2]
Ahead of the 2023 USL League One season, Mecham signed a contract with the Richmond Kickers.[3] Mecham made his professional debut with the Kickers on March 25, 2023, coming on in the 71st minute for Matt Bentley in a 1–0 away victory at Greenville Triumph.[4] He finished his rookie season in USL League One with 21 appearances and one goal for Richmond. At the end of the rookie season, his contract option was declined.[5]
