Jake Thiel (born June 2, 1997) is a Canadian rugby union player, in the sevens discipline.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Thiel is the son of former Canadian rugby players Jon Thiel and Jen Ross.[2]
Career[edit]
Thiel has been part of the Canadian team since the 2017–18 season.[1] Thiel made his debut at the age of 20 at the 2018 Sydney Sevens.[3]
In June 2021, Thiel was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team.[4][5] After the Olympics, Thiel was named as the team's assistant captain.[6]
