Jakob Tait Is a New Zealand international Rugby League player who currently plays for the Dungowan Cowboys in the Group 4 Rugby League Competition. A New Zealand goal kicking representative Prop and Lock his position of choice is Prop. He goes for the Wests Tigers in the NRL

Career[edit]

2010[edit]

In 2010 Tait started his Rugby League career with the North Tamworth Bears. He scored 31 tries and kicked 2 goals. He won the Academic Excellence award at his school

2011[edit]

In 2011 Tait played again with the North Tamworth Bears. He Scored 22 tries and kicked a goal. He played in the Grand Final and scored a try in that. He won the Academic Excellence award at his school.

2012[edit]

In 2012 Tait signed with the Dungowan Cowboys. Playing this year on 80 meter fields. He scored 0 tries and kicked 1 goal.

2013[edit]

In 2013 Tait played his 2nd year with the Dungowan Cowboys scoring 0 tries and kicking 0 goals.

2014[edit]

In 2014 Tait was chosen to play for the Jr Kiwis starting at lock in the 28-12 win at ANZ Stadium. kicking 4/5 goals and scoring a try. In the second game Tait was picked again starting this time at Prop. kicking 7/11 goals in the 81-74 loss at AAMI Park. In the third game he was chosen to start at Prop kicking 0/0 goals in the 27-26 win at Mount Smart Stadium. He was a part of the team that lifted the trophy, co lifting the trophy with captain Cody Brewis. In 2014 Tait was selected to play in the Prime Ministers XIII. He scored a try and kicked 3/3 goals in the 24 - 18 loss to Papua New Guinea.

2015[edit]

In 2015 Tait was once again picked for the New Zealand Jr's but only played 2 games due to ongoing knee problems. Tait kicked 10/10 goals in the 2 games. Due to his injury he was not able to be a part of the team that lifted the trophy. In 2015 Tait was chosen again for the Prime Ministers XIII. He kicked 6/7 goals in the 40 - 24 win over Papua New Guinea.

2016[edit]

In 2016 Tait missed 6 games due to Appendicitis. He also missed out on the Peel Schools Carnival. He played 2 games in the 2016 Jr State of Origin against the QLD Jr Maroons. In the 1st game he was selected as the 18th man but did not play. In game 2 he scored a hat trick and kicked a goal in their upset win at Suncorp Stadium. In game 3 he did the opposite, kicking 3 goals and scoring a try in their win at the MCG. This ensured a series whitewash, the first ever. He was a part of the team that lifted the shield. His incredible performance saved him a spot for years to come. Tait was chosen to play in the 2016 Jr Trans Tasman test. In which he kicked a field goal, scored a try and kicked 6/6 goals in the record breaking 37 - 0 win over The Jr Roos at Eden Park. Leading 1 - 0 at half time they came back and scored 6 tries with Jake converting all of them.

2017[edit]

Tait was selected to go to Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School. In 2017 Tait will play international rules.
