Jalilpur Zamindari was one of the finest zamindaris, tracing its origin to 1759. The family belongs to Yaduvanshi Kshatriya who served in the Mughal Court and later shifted to Landoura State, before moving permanently to Mahu in Bijnor. The family was awarded 11 villages and two hamlets for the service rendered during 187 Revolt by Rani of Landoura.
