Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim (Arabic: جمال سعيد عبد الرحيم) (Born September 5, 1965) is wanted by the United States Government in connection to the September 5, 1986, hijacking of Pan American World Airways Flight 73 during a stop in Karachi, Pakistan. Jamal is indicted in the District of Columbia for his alleged role in the attack that lead to the murder of 20 civilians and the attempted murder of 379 civilians.

Shortly after his Indictment, Rahim was placed on the FBI Most Wanted Terrorist list. He is still currently on this list, along with the other 3 hijackers, Zayd Hassan Abd al-Latif Safarini (Alias "Mustafa"), Muhammad Abdullah Khalil Hussain ar-Rahayyal (Alias "Khalil") and Muhammad Ahmed Al-Munawar (Alias "Mansoor").

Jamal Rahim, Along with the other 3 hijackers are believed to be members of the Abu Nidal Organization, an international Terrorist Group.

A reward of up to $5 Million USD is being offered by the United States Government through the Rewards for Justice Program for information that leads directly to the apprehension or conviction of Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim.[1]

Status[edit]

In 2010, Two Pakistani official officers reported the death of Jamal Rahim due to a U.S. Airstrike in the North Waziristan Tribal Region, however American Intelligence officials denied this claim and Rahim remains on the Most Wanted Terrorist List as a fugitive.[2] Due to the strict restrictions on the Tribal Regions in Pakistan, the claim is not possible to be verified independently.
