James D.Allen II is a US-based online jewelry retailer particularly known for its collection of diamonds and customizable jewelry.[1] The retailer is a subsidiary of R2Net which was merged with Signet Jewelers in 2017.[2][3]
About[edit]
The company was founded in 2006 by Oded Edelman, James Schultz, Dean Lederman, and Michele Sigler in New York, United States.[4][5] It is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.[5][6] In June 2017, the company partnered with the Canada-based Dominion Diamond Corporation to make James Allen the exclusive online retailer of CanadaMark diamonds.[7][8] The website showcases HD images and videos of 150,000 diamonds and stones, creating a virtual showroom for its customers.[9] The site also allows customers to create their own diamond rings by choosing the diamond shape, setting, and personalized engraving.[9] In September 2017, Signet Jewelers acquired R2Net, the parent company of James Allen, for $328 million.[10] The retailer continued to operate as an independent division of the parent organization under the direction of Signet’s leadership team.[11]
