James Cromer

Sir James Crowmer (c.1448 – c.1503) was knighted by Edward IV on the field of Tewkesbury after the battle, 4 May 1471.[1]
He was Justice of the Peace for Kent, and the son of William Crowmer, Esq., Sheriff of Kent & Sussex and Elizabeth Fiennes.
He married Katherine Cantelowe, the daughter of Sir William Cantelowe,[2] and they had:
- William Cromer
- George Cromer, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland[2]
- Margaret, wife of John Rycyls, heir of the manor of Eslyngham, 1496. She was buried in Tunstall Church in Kent.[1]
