James Dorlin
James Dorlin (born 18th April 1999) is a British racing driver who is set to compete in the British Touring Car Championship for Restart Racing.[1] Dorlin has previously competed for Speedworks-run Toyota Gazoo Racing UK with IAA squad.[2]

British Touring Car Championship
James Dorlin was announced on the 25th of March 2025 to race for the Toyota Gazoo Racing UK team in the BTCC after 2 years out of full-time racing, partnering Aron Taylor-Smith, triple champion Gordon Shedden and returnee Ronan Pearson.[2]
Dorlin would endure a tough 2025 season. as the whole team struggled in the first half of the 2025 season, with Dorlin picking up 4 Jack Sears Trophy wins across the Thruxton and Oulton Park rounds. He scored a best result of 7th twice in Thruxton races 1 & 2. Dorlin started on pole for race 3 at Thruxton but suffered mechanical issues which saw him drop out of the race after leading. He stepped down after Round 7 at Knockhill to make way for Josh Cook, who became a free agent after One Motorsport pulled out of the championship 2 rounds earlier.[3][4]
Dorlin would see new hope as Restart Racing signed him for the 2026 campaign in the Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance, replacing Daniel Lloyd. Partnering Chris Smiley, Dorlin hopes for outright wins, following predecessor Daniel Lloyd's maiden win at Silverstone. Dorlin showed promise after high results during BTCC pre-season testing across 2 days at Croft Circuit in March and 1 Brands Hatch media/test day just a few days before Donington Park.[1][5]
