James Edward Seddon

James Edward Seddon (1915–1983) was an English Anglican missionary and hymnist, born in Ormskirk, Lancashire. Musically trained at both the London College of Music and Trinity College, London he went on to undertake theological training at Trinity College, Bristol. After working in a number of parishes in England he became a missionary in Morocco from 1945 – 1955, then became secretary for the Bible Churchmen’s Missionary Society until 1967. Many of his 30 hymns have a missionary theme.
