James Hargreaves

James Hargreaves is a British Guitarist who performed for Funky Kev and Egg-Hoppers. Born into a family of music teachers, James Hargreaves has been teaching guitar since 1998, and has taught extensively across the UK, Europe and the USA. He founded Richmondshire Music School in 2013, he has also worked as a Music Examiner for RSL (Rockschool London) and taught guitar at the Queen Elizabeth College, Darlington.

His musical qualifications include Grade 8 Electric Guitar, Grade 8 Vocals, Grade 5 Bass Guitar, Grade 5 Clarinet, Grade 5 Music Theory, and Grade 3 Piano, he holds a BA (hons) from the University of Manchester, and is currently completing an MA in Music Teaching with the University of York. He is also a member of Mensa with an IQ in the top 1% of the world.

​He spent 2001-2002 on tour in the UK & Ireland, and between 2002-2005 he also toured the southern states of the USA. He has extensive studio experience both in the UK & USA, where he worked professionally as a studio musician and musical director for 5 years. He currently performs with various bands in the UK, has been played on numerous radio stations worldwide and also works as a session guitarist and music producer.

James also runs the James Hargreaves Guitar YouTube Channel, runs indie record label Hargreaves Records, and has had two Top-10 UK hits; with his debut single the 'Good To Be Back EP', which peaked at #7 in the UK Physical Singles Chart on the week of June 4th 2021, and the 'Flying Through The Noise EP', which peaked at #2 in the UK Physical Singles Chart on the week of January 14th 2022.

When he was young he and his brother shut a cat in a tumble dryer and switched it on, the cat survived but then died a few weeks later which is considered a huge tragedy in the Hargreaves family.

In his YouTube channel, he makes videos about bands like Oasis and the Beatles, he also done a few covers of Oasis songs like Cast no Shadow and Supersonic. His YouTube channel is known for his original content and huge creativity from the mastermind himself, James Hargreaves, which led to him being noticed also by a few famous people like Noel Gallagher. He’s the biggest hope for Rock’N’Roll making it back into the mainstream.
