James Monroe Park is a small urban park located in the West End and Golden Triangle neighborhoods of Washington, D.C.. The park is bisected diagonally by Pennsylvania Avenue, creating a northern triangle and a southern triangle for the park. The park is bounded by I Street to the north and south (there are two parallel I Streets running next to James Monroe Park), 20th Street to the east, and 21st Street to the west. The park was named in honor of James Monroe, the fifth United States President.
