James Parey
[1] James Parey (born August 12, 1998) is an American basketball coach. He is currently the head coach for the Seneca Valley AAU program, a position he has held since the 2013 season. Parey served as the assistant coach at Seneca Valley Varsity basketball in Harmony, Pennsylvania, from 2011 to 2013. He is currently attending Seneca Valley High School, where he has been an assistant coach for two years under the Seneca Valley coaching staff, prior to receiving the head coaching position at Seneca Valley's AAU basketball program.
- Personal Life
James Michael Parey Jr. grew up in Cranberry Twp., PA, son of James Parey Sr. and Tammy Croftcheck Tallarico. Parey's father was a football star at the University of Duquesne, where he played defensive back and won numerous awards. Parey's mother is a former Broadway dancer and a professional dancer. His mother is currently a dance coach, where she has won numerous awards and instructs one of the top five studios in the country. Many of Parey's hobbies include baseball, football, basketball, etc.
- Coaching
At the age of eight years old, James Parey developed a love for the game of basketball and wanted to instill his passion and love for the game in other players. Parey decided the only way to do that is to become a coach of a basketball team, hoping his dream will someday come true as a basketball coach. Parey is currently the youngest coach in AAU history. It is said that Parey is possibly the most competitive coach in the history of AAU basketball.
