Jamie Dailey

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Jamie Dailey is an American singer and songwriter and founding member of the bluegrass group Dailey & Vincent. Born in Corbin, Kentucky and raised in Gainesboro, Tennessee[1], Dailey started singing with his family at the age of 3. By the age of 9, he was playing bass in his family's band, "The Four J's", and by the age of 12 he had taken up playing the banjo. Dailey would go on to be part of several bluegrass groups including Cumberland Connection, Clear Creek, and Highland Rim before joining Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver in 1998.[2] Dailey continued to play bass, guitar, and sing vocals for Quicksilver until 2007 when he and long-time friend Darrin Vincent formed Dailey & Vincent.[3] Jamie gave the keynote speech at the IMBA 2018 World of Bluegrass festival in Raleigh, encouraging a focus on business as well as the music.[4] [5] Jamie joined Doyle Lawson and Russell Moore in the July 2017 Musicians Against Childhood Cancer benefit, stating that it was a blessing to help "a great cause through songs and friendship".[6]
