Jamie Laing (born 3 November 1988) is an English television personality and actor. He is best known for appearing on the reality television series Made in Chelsea since the second series in 2011. As an actor, he has appeared in shows such as Hollyoaks, Murder In Successville and Drunk History.

Early life[edit]

Laing was born in Oxford in 1988. His parents are named Penny and Nicholas. He has an older brother, Alexander and a younger sister, Emily.[1]

He attended Radley College and later the University of Leeds where he studied Theatre and Performance.

Laing is also an heir of Sir Alexander Grant, 1st Baronet, The creator of the McVitie's digestive biscuit.[2]

Career[edit]

In 2011, Laing came into the public eye through the E4 constructed reality show Made in Chelsea, joining the show in the second series.

He has made numerous guest appearances on shows such as Alan Carr: Chatty Man, The Jonathan Ross Show, Loose Women, Viral Tap, Reality Bites, First Dates, Celebrity Juice, Safeword, The Apprentice: You're Fired!, This Morning, CelebAbility, I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp, Virtually Famous, Good Morning Britain, The Crystal Maze, Through the Keyhole, Up Late with Rylan, Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, Lorraine, The Time It Takes, Sunday Brunch and Love Island: Aftersun.

In 2014, he participated in the TV programme Famous, Rich and Hungry.[3]

Laing is also the founder of his own confectionery company, Candy Kittens.[4][5]

In 2016, he played a fashion show attendee in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.

In 2017, he played a doctor in the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks.

In 2017, he appeared on the first series of Celebrity Hunted alongside his Made in Chelsea co-star, Spencer Matthews

Personal life[edit]

Laing has previously been in relationships with Made in Chelsea co-stars, Frankie Gaff and Tara Keeney. He also dated French model Heloise Agostinelli.[6]
