Jamie Morgan (softball)

Jamie Morgan (born 16 August 1993)[1] is a softball player from USA, who represented the Israeli national team in international softball competition. [2][3] Morgan attended Ole Miss and is an assistant coach of the Winthrop Eagles.[4]

College[edit]

Morgan was a two-time letter winner after transferring to Ole Miss Rebels softball for her junior season. She made 49 starts in 87 games played in her two-year career. She hit .291 with 33 runs scored and 16 RBI.[1] Before Ole Miss she was at Phoenix College where she helped lead the Bears to their ninth National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship as a freshman.[1] She graduated with a degree in psychology.[4]

Coaching[edit]

In August 2018, Morgan joined the Winthrop softball staff.[4][5]

International Softball[edit]

In July of 2019, Morgan competed in the 2019 ESF Women's Championship in the Czech Republic for the Israel women's national softball team[4][2][6] Part of the desire to play for Israel was fueled by the ability to do so with Leah White.[7] She batted .625 in 8 at-bats with 2 rbis and 6 runs scored.[8][9]
