Jamie Paterson (presenter)
Jamie Paterson is one of the Maritime region's most popular radio personalities and is known for his "theatre of the mind" broadcast style. While hosting the morning show on Q104 RADIO in 1999, Paterson received international attention when a Groundhog Day "prank" created panic in the city and overloaded phone lines.[citation needed]
Jamie was born in Edmonton, Alberta to John & Barbara Paterson. He has worked as a stand-up comedian, an improvisational actor, a theatre manager, and at various time slots on radio stations across Canada.
Jamie is the former host of the Afternoon Drive program on CKUL-FM RADIO in Halifax, Nova Scotia and hosted BeatleBrunch, a weekly feature spotlighting the Fab Four heard around the world. Most recently Jamie could be heard hosting the morning show on LITE 92.9 in Halifax.
Jamie is married to fellow broadcaster Lisa Blackburn with whom he produces the daily podcast THE HALIFAX DAILY NEWS] from their home in Beaver Bank Nova Scotia. He currently hosts The Morning Splash on 89.9 The Wave.
