Jamila T. Davis (born July 11, 1977) is an American prison reform activist and author.

Incarceration[edit]

In 2008, Davis was prosecuted by then-United States Attorney Chris Christie for her role in a multimillion-dollar bank fraud.[1] She was convicted and sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison.[2]

Davis authored several books behind bars including The High Price I Had To Pay and The Voice of Consequences Enrichment series.[3]

Her latest project is The Pink Panther Clique, which is a fiction series, done in collaboration with Wahida Clark. Davis was involved in the creation of the reality show Left Behind. The show follows the lives of the children of incarcerated women.[4][3][5]
