Jan Winters
Jan Winters (6 June 1927 – 13 November 2019) was a Belgian Catholic priest and longtime professor at the Sint-Hubertuscollege of Neerpelt in the Limburg province.
He was born in Linde-Peer to a large family, the second of thirteen brothers and sisters, he completed his primary studies at Linde-Peer and his secondary studies at St.-Lambertuscollege Peer, St.-Jozefscollege Turnhout and Klein Seminarie Sint-Truiden. He studied theology at Groot Seminarie Liège, and philosophy and Germanic philology at the Catholic University of Louvain, and was ordained a priest in 1952.
He gave pedagogical teachings at St. Michielscollege Bree (1954–1955) and at St.-Hubertuscollege Neerpelt until his retirement.
