Javaid in Sargodha

Javaid Anwar (Urdu: جاوید انور‎), better known as Janab Javaid (Urdu: جناب جاوید‎), was a Pakistani author, poet and writer.

Biography[edit]

Javaid was born in Sargodha in c. 1959. The eldest son of his family, Javaid admired poetry in his childhood and reportedly wrote a few poems in his school diaries. He studied in several governmental colleges of Punjab and shifted to the neigbouring city of Lahore.

He died in November 2011 of a sudden heart attack.[1]

In 2007, the Herald deemed Javaid as one of the poets with "extensive nazms".[2] The literary critic Afsar Sajid acclaims the Shahr Mein Shaam, considering it a "concise but expressive flap".[3]
