Jane Gilmer
Dr. Jane Gilmer is a professional theatre director.[1]
Gilmer was born in New Zealand and began working professionally in the 1980s. She studied as a Curative Educator from 1977-1978 and a Waldorf School teacher in 1979. From 1980 to 1984, she trained in Anthroposophical Speech and Drama with Mechthild Harkness Studio in Sydney, Australia. She has obtained a PhD in 2000 from Murdoch University, Western Australia.
Her studies and researches include the work of Carl Gustav Jung, including psychological alchemy, and how this might be pedagogically aligned with Rudolf Steiner's instructions on Speech & Drama.[2] and Michael Chekov's theatre actor process.
