Japan Karate-Do Shito-Ryu International Renshikan[edit]
The Japan Karate-Do Shito-Ryu International Renshikan[1] (JKSIR) (日本空手道派糸東流国際錬志館) is an international Karate organization formed in 2018 by Naresh Sharma and officially recognized in Japan. The dojo was established in 1994 but officially changed its name from Shito-Ryu Karatedo International Renshikan to Japan Karate-Do Shito-Ryu International Renshikan.
Early Stage[edit]
In 1992 Naresh Sharma started karate as a local teacher and later he got the opportunity to train under well-known Indian experts of martial arts. In 1997 he established his first dojo ‘Shito-Ryu Karate-Do International Renshikan’ in Pune Maharashtra India and traveled to Japan to further advance his study in Japanese martial arts and Ryukyu Kobudo. In Japan, he got the opportunity to train with Japanese karate experts like Sadaaki Sakagami, Chuzo Kotaka, Kuniaki Nobukawa, and many other experts from Europe.
Thus, he became a direct student of Kuniaki Nobukawa 9th Dan Souke and founder of Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai. He is the direct representative of the India branch of the organization and thus changed the dojo name from Shito-Ryu Karate-Do International Renshikan to Japan Karate-Do Shito-Ryu International Renshikan and was officially recognized in Japan.[2]
