Jasgam

The Jasgam is a tribe in the Pothohar region of Punjab, Pakistan.
Locality
This tribe is found near Panjar, a village in the Kahuta tehsil (Rawalpindi), and they are also found in the areas of Tehsil Gujarkhan, mainly in Mandrah.
History
The Jasgams, like the Dhunds, claim descent from Manaf, an ancestor of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, and they say that they got possession of the tract they now occupy under Gakkhar rule, when General Zarab Khan, a descendant of Muhammad, came from Arabia and settled near Kahuta.
