Career[edit]

In 1998, Foodman and four other Atlanta entrepreneurs formed RegSoft.com, one of the early e-commerce services for the software industry, ultimately selling the company to Digital River (NASDAQ:DRIV) in 2003.[10] Foodman founded Trexar Technologies in January 2001, and which was sold two years later to Aladdin Systems.[11] In January 2003, Foodman was the founder and CEO of DigitalSwift (dba SwiftCD.com), inventing the notion of a “Backup CD” to go along with an electronic software purchase.[12] Signing up over 8,000 software vendors participating worldwide, he led the company for six years before selling the company to Digital River in 2009[13].

In April 2009, Foodman founded Rebate Delivery, a global mail-in rebate service for online sales, and served as its CEO until selling the company in 2011 to Ohana Companies.[14]

In January 2011, Foodman served as a Co-Founder of FastSpring,[15] a leading all-in-one e-commerce payment processing service for 3,000+ desktop software and SaaS companies worldwide.[16] Before the company’s sale in 2016, FastSpring[17] had won a wide assortment of industry awards for its customer service, including multiple Stevie Awards from 2013-2015,[18] and was recognized as the fastest-growing company in the Greater Los Angeles Area from 2006-2010, as well as the 13th fastest-growing company in North America during the same period. FastSpring was also highly ranked on the “Inc. 500” list (in 2010 and 2011)[19] and included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500,[20] as well. Upon its sale in 2016, the founders and original investors in FastSpring earned an ROI of over 600-fold on their original investment.[21]

In September 2015, Foodman became President of Global Delight[22] (creators of Camera Plus, Boom for iOS and Vizmato apps),[23] guiding the company through June 2017.  From 2017-2019 Foodman assumed various strategic advisor and paid non-executive director roles including with Comecero.com and TheoremReach.com.  Late 2019 it was announced that Foodman had become President of Rosy Salon Software (RosySalonSoftware.com), a Fullsteam.com portfolio company.[24][25][26][27][28]
