Professional Canadian skateboarder Matt Berger has a Wikipedia page with four references to the Olympics. That's four references from one event.

Therefore, it should only require one solid example of notoriety to prove professional status. This was achieved in this case through the video part in a professional Canadian skateboard video.
Wikipedia cannot set different standards for verifying professionals in the same sport.
Especially since skateboarding was not an Olympic event for the past 40 years...
That's how long Canada has had professional skateboarders.
Who are you to determine Canadian skateboard history? You obviously have no idea about what you're talking about, therefore you're not in a position to even validate which skateboard articles are relevant or authoritative.
Annual skateboard events are also proof of the Canadian skateboard scene and the various professional skateboarders that took part in those events.

Lamarche was the first skateboarder born in the City of Ottawa to get sponsored by major companies in the industry.
Lamarche was also one of the lead designers for the world's first skateboard plaza in Vancouver, B.C.
Other professional skateboarders should be allowed to speak to this factual history, and to provide testimonials on his behalf.
What formats will Wikipedia accept to prove Lamarche's history as a founding planner and sponsored athlete in Canadian skateboarding?

Early life and career
Jason Lamarche was born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1976 and raised in Hull, Québec.
He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1997. In 2013, Jason Lamarche became the first person in the world to ever use a Bitcoin ATM. This event occurred on October 28, 2013.[6]
