A native of Parkersburg West Virginia, Jason Paul Houser serves as a Senior Foreign Engagement Officer for United States Cyber Command, and as a Counterterrorism, Intelligence, & Emergency Management Subject-Matter- Expert as a Argonne Associate for Argonne National Laboratory.

Previously, Jason served as the Director of Homeland and Defense Analytics with Redhorse Corporation supporting DHS, FEMA, and the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. Notably, Jason served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of DHS I&A, and as a Senior Advisor for CBP Field Operations.

Prior to his time as Deputy Chief of Staff, He served from 2009 to 2011 as the Assistant Director of Legislative Affair within DHS supporting Science & Technology, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office,, and the Office of Intelligence & Analysis.

Jason has an extensive diverse background in Homeland & National Security work as well as campaigns and politics, working for a variety of candidates and issue groups around the country. Prior to his tenure at DHS, he worked as a Political Director for Senator Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, and recently served as the Primary State Director for Secretary Clinton’s Primary Campaign in Illinois. He has worked over a dozen political races, over a 15 year-period - notably as a GOTV Director for the DCCC in 2006, as well as a Field Director in the 2004 Presidential election. He also has worked extensively as a political fundraiser for Congressional and Senate campaigns, getting his start for Sen. John D. Rockefeller.

Jason currently serves as an Intelligence Officer in the US Navy Reserves where he support US Strategic Command Space mission. Jason is qualified in Information Dominance, Space Operations, and Operations Planning

Jason serves on the Homeland Security Council within the Intelligence National Security Alliance (INSA), is a Truman National Security Project Political Partner, and a Wye Fellow at the Aspen Institute

After completing his degree at University of Tennessee, Jason went on to earn a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University and Diploma from the Naval War College.

Jason is a 2013 graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School National Security Program, and the Executive Fellow Program(s).

Jason currently serves as adjunct professor at Arizona State University where he instructs on Domestic, International, and Cyber Terrorism, as well as faculty of Homeland Security Intelligence & Analysis at Anne Arundel Community College.

Jason lives in Annapolis, MD with his wife - Jaclyn - and their 3-year-old son Lyndon. He serves on the Annapolis Conservancy Board, and is a Vestry member at St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
