Jason Rosam born 21 July 1979 in Kingston upon Thames is a British radio presenter currently working for BBC Radio London.[1] He is the main reporter for the Vanessa Feltz Breakfast Show and anchors the Early Breakfast show on Friday mornings.

Career[edit]

Rosam performed in theatrical productions before returning to radio in 2003 to set up Soundstage Communications a radio drama development company. In 2004 he was involved with a radio production of Peter Pan which was played by hospital radio stations across the UK, Australia and New Zealand on Christmas Day 2004 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of J.M Barrie’s classic story. The production was recorded live in front of an audience at the Garage Theatre in Bloomsbury.[2]

In 2005, Rosam joined Gaydar Radio [3] presenting the popular Saturday night show Inferno. He went on to co-present the first live Gaydar Radio breakfast show with Neil Sexton and became the stations first news editor.[4] the station won the Digital Station of the year at the Radio Academy Awards in 2007[5] and at the Commercial Radio Awards the same year.

After leaving Gaydar, Rosam went on to work at various radio stations including presenting the Drivetime show on Time 106.8 reading the news on the networked Smooth Radio Tony Blackburn show and on air roles at Eagle Radio and 106 Jack FM.

As well as continuing his BBC career Rosam in January 2015 masterminded the creation and launch of Wandsworth Radio, an online community radio service and is the station director.[6] [7]. The station started in an attic room above Oasis on Battersea Park Road. In September 2018 the station moved to it's present custom built studios in the Doddington and Rollo Community Association Business Centre.

On 7th April 2019 Rosam oversaw the expansion of the station's area to include Richmond, Clapham and Merton as well as Wandsworth, providing local news and coverage into a large part off South West London. The expanded station is to be called Riverside Radio to reflect the proximity of the four areas to the River Thames and the River Wandle.
