Jat Sikh clans of the Lahore Division

Below is a list of Jatt Sikh clans and their population of the Lahore Division Division of Punjab, drawn up for 1911 Census of India. In 1908, this division consisted of six districts, Lahore, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Montgomery.[1]

Sialkot District[edit]

The total Jat population was according to the 1931 Census of India was 237,575 of which Jatt Sikhs were 65,639 or about 28% of the total population. According to the 1911 Census, there main clans were as follows:[2]

Gujranwala District[edit]

The total Jat population was according to the 1931 Census of India was 213,389 of which Jatt Sikhs were 35,319 or about 17% of the total population. Sharaqpur and Khanqah Dogran were separated from Gujranwala District to form the separate district of Shaikhupura. According to the 1911 Census, there main clans were as follows:[3]

Lahore District[edit]

The total Jat population was according to the 1931 Census of India was 204,406 of which Jatt Sikhs were 122,871 or about 61% of the total population. According to the 1911 Census, there main clans were as follows:[4]

Montgomery District[edit]

The total Jat population in Montgomery District according to 1931 Census of India was 151,186, of which the Jat Sikh population was 29,819 or 20% of the total. According to the 1911 Census, the main Jat Sikh clans were as follows:[5]

Amritsar District[edit]
